In an update from Bursa, AAX said that its non-independent director, Dato Lim Kian Onn, has resigned from AAX and is said to be returning to ECM Libra as its vice president.
Lim, 62, was appointed an alternate director of Dato’ Seri Kalimullah on June 11, 2007. He stepped down as an alternate director of Dato’ Seri Kalimullah and was appointed a non-independent non-executive director of the company on July 10. 2012.
Mr. Lim was reappointed as an Independent Non-Executive Director on February 26, 2016. On May 24, 2016, he was reappointed as a Non-Independent Non-Executive Director of the Company. Mr. Lim is also a member of the Board’s Audit Committee.
He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and the Institute of Accountants in Malaysia.
He served his article at KMG Thomson McLintock in London and was a consultant to Andersen Consulting from 1981 to 1984. Between 1984 and 1993 he was with Hong Leong Group, Malaysia as Managing Director in the brokerage arm responsible for corporate finance, research and Institutional Sales. .
